Hong Kong Events - March 2027
March 2027 is the busiest arts month of the Hong Kong year. Art Basel runs from 25 to 27 March at the Convention Centre, the Hong Kong Flower Show fills Victoria Park from 12 to 21 March, and the 55th Hong Kong Arts Festival is still in full swing. Pop's biggest draw comes early, with BTS at Kai Tak Stadium on three nights at the start of the month. Easter falls late, giving a long weekend from Good Friday on 26 March to Easter Monday on 29 March. At Temple Street it is a pleasant, mild month: the evening crowds return, the opera singers are out in the square, and the LCSD Cantonese-opera programme at Yau Ma Tei Theatre, a few blocks away on Waterloo Road, is running.

🧭 Practical notes for March
- Art week pressure: hotel rates in Wan Chai and Central climb steeply around 25-27 March, so book accommodation early even if you are staying in Kowloon.
- Getting there: Jordan MTR is the closest station to the market; the Cultural Centre and the museums are one stop south. See how to get here.
- Timing: the market trades every evening and is busiest after dark; the Easter weekend is the busiest stretch of the month. Check the opening hours and closing time pages before a special trip.
- Entry and prices: free to walk; food, readings and the opera are paid, and any street-food figure is indicative. See the 2027 food guide and fortune-telling.
- Free alternatives: the Tin Hau Temple, the Yau Ma Tei Fruit Market and the Hong Kong Museum of Art in TST all cost nothing.
- Before you travel: confirm festival times and any Easter trading changes at Discover Hong Kong or on the best time to visit page.
